Text you compare
DiffTool compares the text you enter in your browser. Your text and the differences are not sent to the server for comparison.
DiffTool does not record your text or comparison results in the URL or browser storage. It does not create a URL for saving or sharing a comparison.
Copying and leaving the page
If you select Copy or copy selected text, the selected content is placed on your device's clipboard. Check your device and app settings to understand how your clipboard is stored or synced.
Use Clear or Clear all to remove your input. Your browser may restore the page when you use Back or similar navigation. DiffTool has no feature for saving your input and reopening it later.
Access and usage measurement
Your browser contacts the delivery server to display this page. Loading the page and comparing your text are separate operations.
On the production site, DiffTool uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site usage. Google tags are not loaded and no analytics requests are sent to Google until you explicitly select Accept. You can still use the comparison tool if you select Decline.
After you accept, standard GA4 usage data such as page views, first visits, session starts, engagement time, and browser and device information may be sent to Google. Analytics cookies may be used. The text you compare, the differences, text lengths, and comparison results are not sent to analytics. Tracking does not start on pages with a query or fragment in the URL, or when the referrer is not one of this site's fixed pages. Advertising measurement is not configured.
Your choice is stored in this browser. You can change it using Cookie settings below. If you withdraw consent, the page reloads to stop an analytics tag that has already loaded; text currently in the inputs will be lost.
